Terms of Use | HellaHurt
Effective date: July 12, 2026. Welcome to HellaHurt, the consumer brand of Counterpoint Legal ("we," "us"), a personal injury law firm with attorneys licensed in California and Guam. By using this website and our free tools, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. What this site is — and isn't
This website provides legal information and AI-generated estimates, not legal advice. Legal advice requires an attorney who knows the specific facts of your case and has agreed to represent you. Nothing on this site — including the results of any AI tool — is a substitute for that.
2. No attorney-client relationship
Using this website, any AI tool, or the free case check does not create an attorney-client relationship with Counterpoint Legal. An attorney-client relationship is formed only when both you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement.
That said: if you request attorney review of your case check, we treat your submission as a confidential prospective-client communication and a licensed attorney personally reviews it. Please don't submit information about a matter in which we already represent an opposing party; if a conflict of interest exists, we may be unable to respond and will delete your submission.
3. About the AI tools
- Our tools use artificial intelligence to generate estimates, analyses, and draft documents based on the information you provide.
- AI output can be wrong. Estimates are based on typical outcomes and the accuracy of what you enter. Your actual case value, deadlines, and options depend on facts and law an attorney must review.
- Settlement ranges and case-value figures are illustrations, not promises, predictions, or guarantees of any outcome in your case.
- Deadlines matter: tools that mention statutes of limitations are informational. Do not rely on a tool to calculate your filing deadline — confirm it with an attorney. Missing a deadline can permanently end your claim.
- Draft documents (such as demand letters) are templates for your review and use at your own discretion; we are not responsible for how you use them unless we represent you.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are at least 18 years old (or using the site with a parent/guardian for a minor's matter).
- The information you enter is true to the best of your knowledge.
- You will not use the tools to submit another person's information without their permission, to test or scrape our systems, to attempt to extract or reverse-engineer the AI, or for any unlawful purpose.
- The tools are for personal, non-commercial use in connection with a potential California or Guam injury matter.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what happens to the information you enter, who sees it, and how to have it deleted. It's short and in plain English — please read it.
6. Intellectual property
The site, its content, the HellaHurt name and Hurtcules character, and the tools are owned by Counterpoint Legal or its licensors. You may use the site for its intended purpose; you may not copy, republish, or commercially exploit it without permission.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
THE SITE AND TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COUNTERPOINT LEGAL'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR TOOLS (NOT INCLUDING ANY SIGNED ENGAGEMENT) WILL NOT EXCEED $100. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, AND NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS OUR PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES TO CLIENTS UNDER A SIGNED ENGAGEMENT AGREEMENT.
8. Attorney advertising
This website is attorney advertising. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.

9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by California law. Any dispute arising from use of this website (not from an attorney-client engagement, which is governed by its own agreement) will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
